Dear Esteemed Guests, Family, Friends and Supporters,

 

Count it all joy that we arrived at this momentous occasion! It is an honor and a privilege to welcome you to the chartering of Greater Southeast (MI) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, the 303rd chapter in our organization and the first chapter chartered in the great state of Michigan in 25 years.

 

Eighty years ago, our founders set out on a mission grounded in friendship that would serve as the fuel to achieve their vision. Since then, while many things have changed, our  mission, Friends Transforming Communities Through Service, remains more relevant and vital than ever, as hardship and inequity persist in our communities.  We now stand on their shoulders to meet the challenges of our time. With heartfelt gratitude, we thank our National leadership and the National Chapter Establishment Committee of The Links, Incorporated for their faith, guidance and support throughout our path to membership.

  

Today marks the culmination of a journey that began almost four years ago with a similar dream that grew out of friendship and a heartfelt passion for service. We work as friends with common values committed to transforming Macomb County and surrounding areas through impactful and sustainable service.  Our steps along the path to Linkdom were made with a genuine curiosity about those we serve and each other, a spirit of collaboration, and resilience. We serve with an unwavering desire to leave others and the spaces we inhabit better than we found them. Through intentional programming and community outreach that spans all five program facets, the foundation has been laid to strategically elevate our impact going forward. 

 

As Links, we join a dynamic and richly woven chain of friendship, answering the rallying call to service. Now with our gaze fixed on the future, and our steps ordered towards sustainable progress, we invite you to partner with us in the next phase of our development as members of this exceptional organization.
